Considered trifles

It is amazing how much lost property is deposited on the highways around Turville.  I regularly find dropped items of clothing when I’m out walking.  The question is whether to leave them, in case the owner returns, or whether to put them to another use.

In the case of the beanie hat on the path outside our house, friends in Devon were pleased to have it and it’s gone to a good home.

Sometimes I take things to Oxfam, like this Eyeore mug which I found on the road yesterday, quite unscathed.  I hate the Disney stuff which is an affront to E H Shepard, but no doubt Oxfam can get money for it.

mugAlso yesterday I found two gloves, but they don’t match …pink glove… and what’s the chance of finding a one-handed Chelsea supporter?
